Position Summary

Portland State University’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for Adjunct Instructors with expertise in core areas of computer science and teaching experience to teach undergraduate sections of courses in computer science. Instructors must be qualified to teach courses in one or more of the following core areas: (see PSU Bulletin for individual course descriptions):

Minimum Qualifications

B.S./B.A. in Computer Science ( or closely related field).
Previous teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Computer Science (or closely related field).
Previous experience teaching large undergraduate classes in Computer Science.

Compensation Adjunct faculty are paid per credit hour, per the AFT Collective Bargaining Agreement: https://www.pdx.edu/hr/sites/www.pdx.edu.hr/files/AFTCBA-CBA-9-12-16_Format. Salary may be adjusted above the minimum rates based on qualifications and experience.
