Position Summary

Portland State University’s School of Business Administration invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Accounting faculty member to teach primarily Financial Accounting. The position requires teaching three sections of a four credit hour accounting course per quarter, for a total teaching load of nine classes per academic year. A limited amount of service activities to either the SBA or Accounting area is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters Degree.
Prior recent experience teaching upper division Financial Accounting is required.
Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

A C.P.A. or equivalent certification is preferred.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement

The starting annual salary rate for this position will be $58,000 with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
