Position Summary

Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept

University Housing & Residence Life (UHRL) provides exceptional residential communities within a unique urban setting. We embrace an inclusive, nurturing community to produce a comprehensive learning experience that will foster education and promote individual development. UHRL encompasses 9 buildings which house approximately 2200 residents.

Position Summary

The Coordinator serves the needs of the PSU student population by organizing financial and billing functions for ~2,200 University Housing residents. The Coordinator develops contractual, billing, and overall office policies and procedures. Responsibilities include management of large, complicated data structures, and advising students. The Coordinator collaborates with a number of Housing and University staff. This position oversees Procurement Cards, Account Reconciliation, Student Eligibility, Student Billing and Contracts, and invoicing for Summer Housing & Conferences.

Minimum Qualifications from Classification

- 12 quarter hours (8 semester hours) of Accounting courses AND
- An Associates Degree in Accounting; OR
- One year of experience that includes entering, compiling and/or reporting financial information; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position

Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends, approximately 2 weekends and 2 evenings per year. Overtime is provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working with databases similar to StarRez and Banner.
Experience providing front-line customer service.
Experience working in student housing or higher education.
Experience working in a high-volume, high-stress environment with various interruptions.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement

The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $14.28-15.36 per hour with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
