Position Summary

Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept

Portland State’s 49-acre downtown campus is located in the heart of one of America’s most vibrant centers of culture, business and technology. We are recognized throughout the world for programs like Urban Planning, Social Work, and Environmental Studies that directly engage the community, and aim our students towards the creation of a better, more sustainable world.

The University Place Hotel and Conference Center is located at 310 SW Lincoln St, Portland, OR 97201. The hotel is owned and operated by Portland State University and open to the public.

Position Summary

The temporary Housekeeper will provide housekeeping services to the hotel which include guest rooms and occasionally meeting rooms and common areas.

This temporary assignment is for approximately six months from start date.

Minimum Qualifications from Classification

Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position

Previous housekeeping experience and ability to clearly communicate with housekeeping and front desk staffs.

Successful completion of a background check.

Hotel housekeeping experience.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement

The salary rate for this position will be between $13.74 and $14.74 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

This temporary position is not benefits eligible.

Pay Range Between $13.74 and $14.74 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Additional Information

Schedule and hours per week will vary depending on hotel occupancy. Typical hours will be 24 to 32 hours per week and typical shifts will be 10am to 6pm or 2pm to 10pm on a Sunday to Saturday cycle. There is some flexibility with scheduling of shifts.
