Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept

Portland State University is Oregon’s public urban research university located in the heart of downtown. It is ranked as one of the nation’s top 10 “most innovative” universities by U.S. News & World Report. PSU’s Office of Student Financial Services oversees the Financial Wellness Center, Cashiers Office, ID Cards, and Student Accounts.

Position Summary

This position manages the day-to-day operations of the student accounts office and student refunds within Student Financial Services, including the Third Party Billing team . This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of the Financial Wellness Center. This position ensures office staff provides quality customer service while applying appropriate oversight and procedures in accordance with Federal, State, and Institution regulations and policies.

Primary Activity A - Administrative
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study. 18 quarter hours of accounting coursework.
Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of supervisory experience.
3-5 years experience in higher education or related field.
Experience with Banner.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement

The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $43,000 and $47,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
